SolarVenti for Holiday Homes
Dehumidifies, ventilates and heats your second home for free.
Those who purchase a SolarVenti® solar air collector for their second home generally do so because they want to avoid the humid and closed indoor environment. Closed air and humidity increases moisture in the building structure walls and in all objects stored in that space.
This allows the appearance of condensation and oxidation, as well as the formation of musty smell and stale, saturated air. Free ventilation with warm, dry air throughout the year with the SolarVenti® air collector makes it pleasant to arrive and stay in your second home with a pleasant atmosphere.
When the SolarVenti® solar air collector is installed, indoor air quality will be significantly improved within a few months and the owner will begin to feel the air much fresher and less humid to breathe, while saving on heating bills. Furthermore, it operates without operational or environmental costs, as the SolarVenti® solar air collector is powered by solar energy.
Another advantage of the system is that the solar air collector heats the air in the dwelling, which means the cost of heating the house with traditional systems will be lower. For example, an SV30E solar air collector produces between 150-200 m³ of air per hour. This pre-heated air introduced into the house can have a temperature increase of up to 40 degrees from the exterior.
Ventilation Flow
When the sun shines on the solar air collector panel, for example on a sunny wall on the side of the dwelling, the air quickly becomes very warm inside the panel. At the same time, the fan powered by photovoltaic solar panels — there are no electrical consumption costs for this system — begins to blow warm, dry ventilation air into the dwelling.
The air — which is blown inside — pushes the humid and “old” air out through cracks/gaps or ventilation grilles. The SolarVenti® solar air collector requires no maintenance, as during the system’s summer standby period, the filter is cleaned by the sun’s heat, eliminating all particles that may have been retained.
